INE GARRÉ
“If I fully surrender to my dancing, my mind becomes still. In a way I’m escaping
reality, but in another way, when returning, it has given me so many new answers.”
- Ine Garré
Ine and I started working together in 2018, when we made our first dance film ‘Breaking The Unbreakable’.
‘Breaking the Unbreakable’ is a film in which we explore the relationship between nature and the human body. How both seem to be entangled with each other in a never-ending dance and how everything that seems unbreakable is always, in a way, fragile and delicate.
After that we made the stop motion film ‘where’s my love’. For this movie we used more than 400 images to explore body language and emotions, resulting in a rollercoaster of facial expressions and hand movements.
Our most recent project together is ‘May slowly fading into June’. A solo on (re)searching the inner child through dance, to support personal development. It’s a slow and emotional video, in which we see a strong, yet fragile girl.
‘May slowly fading into June’ is accompanied by music solely written for the dance by Edda.
